My favia ate a bristleworm

lol. i caught my mias pot of gold eating a 3/4" long bristleworm today. it was trying to get free but it looked like the sweeper tentacles were stinging it.

the pic is really crappy, i had to zoom in with my iphone. two polyps were actually fighting over it, each adjacent polyp had one end of the worm in its mouth lol

you can barely see it but you can see a small section of the worm stretched across the polyps i have circled. it probably fell into it... its like the sarlac pit from return of the jedi lol

in fact it seemed pretty happy after, really inflated

hmm..well bristleworms eat detritus so all those nutrients must be fillin the favia up

I can see it now:
new breakthrough in feeding corals! feed bristleworms to your LPS!
and someone will have the tenacity to sell "de-bristled" bristleworms XP
