My female jordani changing to a male (I think)

She's lost the iridescent reddish color that i loved, and is getting yellow. I lost my supermale a day before christmas.

I haven't really thought about it vol. I suppose i will eventually. This was my first male/female bonded pair of any fish besides clowns. It's really different. Her whole attitude is changing. She's starting to do everything my male did body wise like hovering with her dorsal fin vibrating really fast. She's never done that.

Now that he has changed I'm sure that he's just establishing his territory within the tank... My flasher wrasse does the whole dorsal vibration thing... Especially when my angel or tang come near him... Fairies and Flashers may be peaceful as far as wrasses go, but they're still a territorial fish... They're just all bark no bite... I'd like to get a harem for my flasher... Ahhhh, one day...

I'd still like a copy of that CD once Gary's done with it... lol

I'm done with the CD, so I just need to figure out where to send it. It has some incredible pics. I wish I could print them out to have something to show LFS' so they can hunt for me, but I can certainly understand why he has it so protected.

That certainly looks like a transformation to me. That in and of itself has got to be pretty cool. Ain't marine life grand.

If you want to pm gary with your address Randy your more than welcome to it for awhile. It's an incredible piece of work for a flasher/fairy fan. An interesting thing with the new male is that my rubriventralis used to harass "her" pretty regularly. Nothing major, but a chase here and there type thing. I haven't noticed that going on anymore. They get along quite well now...almost friendly like. I'm not sure if my rubriventralis is male or female. Do you know how to tell?

Indeed it is Gary. It's kind of weird relating to "him" now. I kind of build a rapport with my animals, and it's changed the way i look at "him". Kinda hard to explain.

PS: Apparently female jordani have no yellow. So she is most definitely a male now. Jenn named her flo from the beginning. Is it in bad taste to continue with the name? What is the etiquette on such things? Apparently this is an issue with her....please advise....quickly

You could change his name to Floyd... Keeping with the Flo theme... lol I know its bad luck to change a horse's name, but not sure about a fish...

Yeah, I'm going to take you up on that cd though... I have Kuiter's book, "Fairy & Rainbow Wrasses and their relatives"... But was somewhat disappointed... I wish he would have gone into further detail of the Fairies and Flashers and done less with their relatives... It does have a bunch of nice pics of most ever wrasse though...
