My First BTA -- 7 month Update

So, after finally upgrading to a decent sized tank in, my wife and I felt it was time to get a BTA. Our LFS had some tiny green BTA's and we felt this would be the perfect opportunity due to the size and price.

First introduced into the tank in 12APR2008:

Within a day it found a new home and settled in 14APR2008:

Being happy in the tank, it was simply time to grow! 14AUG2008

This pic was taken on 03NOV2008 and you can see how much it has grown in this short amount of time:

I will be taking new pics tonite to show its even further expansion (now covering that "cup" to the right of it where it was originally placed :)

Very nice tank and pics. What kind of lighting and type of bulbs do you have? Your tank has a nice blue/white look.

Thanks!

All but the last pic were under 2x150 20k's and 2x130 PC actinic .... the last pic is a 6x54 Nova Extreme Pro T5 fixture with 2 of the stock 10k bulbs swapped out for UVL Super Actinics.

Its a tad more white in person but not by much

cool, thanks for sharing. I like progression pictures to see how much they grow over time. Thanks again

Thanks for all the compliments :)

As for the clowns ...

They originally hosted in my grape coral (I dont know if thats the true name but its what ive been told - a hammer/frogspawn hybrid looking thing). Then I added a neon frogspawn (you can see it in the first FTS with the "grape" behind it). Well the female moved over to the FS and rubbed it literally to death and is now back with the male in the grape. They both hover all around the BTA during the day but neither are willing enough to just get it in already. Sadly enough the cardinal has come closer to hosting in it!
