My first clown

Hey guys, I just bought an ocella clown today and its awesome. I was just wondering what you think I should feed it and how often. Also what temp should the tank be at, its at 80.2 right now. Also, do they bite, I heard maroons do a lot, but I have heard of one person getting bitten by an ocella.

I kind of want to get bitten, it'd make a good story :)

thanks for any tips

ive heard that the fish can do good in high temps most times your corals will suffer before your fish, so temps are fine. I feed rods and ORA pellets and occasional mysis. The biting you **** off a fish it will bite but most people don't buy fish to pet em :D. BTW GRATS!

Thanks! haha I guess I won't be petting him. Since he got over the shock he has been swimming circles around the whole tank. Is this normal? I figure he is exploring or staking out territory ( I guess the whole tank since he is the only fish)

should be fine as long as he is eating well and has personality, btw what size tank is he in?

he's in a 20 g and be doesn't seem interested in the flake food now. Is it bc I just got him yesterday?0

could be a possibility. Wait it out he will get hungry either today or tomorrow hes going to regret not eating, just try again later.

Thanks for the help. He is eating now he still swims laps but not as much. I hear that some do this and not to worry as long as its eating

Ocellaris are real active. The ones I had never seemed to rest, even at night. As long as he's eating well and isn't scratching himself or acting panicky, I think he's probably fine. Enjoy him. :)

now he seems to have made a spot int the back where he hangs out until I leave or feed him. It's funny watching him pick on the crabs
