My First GBTA

Week 1 has passed!

My Os show no interest. I am not surprised considering they are not natural symbionts.

Haven't feed the nem yet, not sure if I should start off with some mysis then some bigger silversides. Nem is living under 250w metal halide. How much food do they really need though. Isn't a good portion of their energy received from the sun?

One scare back on thursday, nem shrunk up too nothing. I think just releasing some waste.

Nice bta, you can feed it a 1 or 2 times a week, (since you have such good lighting) it may grow very large (or split) if you feed more. They do get a lot of their nurtition from the light but (this has been debated) I think they should be fed, I feed all mine. They need meaty food, mysis would be a good start, soaking in selcon or zoe would increase nitrition. You can feed almost any marine fish in small chunks, shrimp, scallops, etc. Well you already know your fish may or may not host, in any case it will be a matter of time if they do. It took mine a year to discover their anemone. Good luck : )

Mine deflates every day to release waste and take in new water. It is amazing how much they will shrink and look like they are going to die, and then in like 30 min they will be back to there happy fluffed up form.

Two weeks have passed and all looks good.

Also my Os have decided they don't mind a BTA. So call it 10 days for them to host the BTA.
