Wow, where did you find an Eshopps for $117 delivered? I got jabbed bad. I think I paid $139 or $149 at the time for mine. With that being said, if he can swing it. Def go for the eshopps. Btw John thanks for sharing how you set it up. It helped me in a tremendous way when I set up mine.

I like the eshopps skimmer I'm just not sure if I left enough room between the tank and the wall for it. I'm defiantly **** scared to move the tank with that stand it's on. Worst comes to worst I can probably get by with the AES Euro nano skimmer for awhile. I'm in no real rush for a skimmer anyway just yet. So tomorrow me and a friend are going to check out are saltwater fish mega store that's right out side Baltimore here. I want to try and see if I can get some of the things on my live stock list that they don't carry at the
store near my house.

Pom Pom crabs
Sexy shrimp
Jaw fish or tank raised clowns
Xenia frag
Duncan frag
Any weird zoas

Not getting all those at once either but if I can score 3 things off that list I'll be excited. I'll defiantly check out there skimmers while I'm there as well. Let me know what you think of that as a potential stocking list.

So after a trip to the house of tropics (witch was amazing!) Im now the owner of two tank bred clowns, two porcelain crabs and a piece of pulsating xenia. Ill post pics tomorrow of them in the tank. Heres a bad pick of them getting dripped to the tank water.

I just checked and it looks like they've gone up a little since I bought mine. I got it from Premium Aquatics. They price matched one I found online.

Has anyone ever told you that you look just like Scottie Pippen?

Mine is 5 1/2" from the wall and I have 3/4" to spare.

Have fun with that xenia, stuff grows like weeds! People warned me but you really don't realize the issue until 6+ months in. Unless you end up staying with softies of course!

Look forward to pics of the clowns. And IMO, the money that you spend now saves you later (in regards to the skimmer). Buying the cheap JBJ will eventually lead to an upgrade and a wasted $50, just IMO...

Haha, all the time! No, that is Scottie Pippen (me left). I have a friend that works PR for the bulls. Sometimes he'll hook me up with floor seats and a floor pass to get out on the court before and after games. I was on the court before the game and Pippen was there. He was kind enough to take a picture with me.

Haha thanks ange. Im hoping the xenia grows like crazy. The pet store near my house said they cant order it cause it melts away durring the shipping on them so they said they would gladly be willing to pay for any frags or give store credit. I have no idea what type of xenia it is. Its still super small but just started opening up tonight. The clowns are amazing and they dont leave each others side. The porcelain crabs are my favs you hardly get to see them but there so interesting. The store i go to is going to try and get some jaw fish in for me at some point since thats what i plained the tank for in the first place ( why i have such a massive sand bed) ill try and snap some pics. Im definitely going to hold off just alittle while longer for the skimmer till i get my tax return hopefully end of february and get one thats half way decent.

Thanks John! I hope you have better luck with your new set of clowns this time around. The clowns they had at that store they said they had been in the tank for a few weeks and all showed good signs of health but I guess some stores will tell you anything to make a sale lol. My Xenia looks terrible this morning I'm hoping they will bounce back. I did a water change checked my levels everything is we're is should be and I put more flow on them. Hopefully it's just the stress of a new tank and they bounce back quickly. I'm hoping I'm not one of those people that can't keep Xenia.

Read some different post from people having trouble with xenia. Went to the store and picked up a bottle or iodine and trace elements thought i might try and put a few drops in the tank and see if it helps. Got a better circulation pump and some more filter floss. So ill try that tonight. You don't think a few drops of iodine and trace elements would hurt the tank do you? By a few i mean like 4 drops each.

So I added a few drops of trace elements and today my Xenia looks better. Not when I bought it but it's coming around.
Exciting news though! My porcelain crabs came out and started waving its claws all crazy like and then BAM it gave birth to a million little crabs! My clown fish ate them right away though. Oh well circle of life right?

So now that my xenia is doing great, even looked like it grew a little. So I took a trip to the aquarium store to get some filter floss and needless to say I walked out with 3 new corals lol. I still cant get this damn micro bubble problem solved so I guess im just going to live with them.

So I haven't posted in a few days thought id update and share some pics. Im finding new hitchhikers and my xenia I was freaking out about is growing! I might look into some green clove polyps too. I know I know there weeds but I kinda like the corals that are weeds haha.
I ordered a intank basket yesterday with some chemi elite since im not happy with my water not being super crystal clear and im still looking at skimmers and reading up on them. Thanks for all the skimmer suggestions once the tax return comes threw ill make a decision. Heres some pics and a pic of a random claim I found in the tank.

Ok well skip the skimmer put it all together and it has a leak on one of the fittings in the tube. I hope the store will take it back just sucks cause it was there last one and I was really hoping this thing would be great
