I remembered this old post ..... hows the reactor holding up? I was also curious on what u used to help seal the lid. I hear that using those caps are a bit of a pain because they are hard to seal. Maybe u have a trick. Thanks!

I converted mine to the union w/cap idea as you suggested, and it's been leak free. However, I was trying to gravity feed mine, but that didn't work very well in practice. The dosing rate would change depending on the water level in the RO/DI reservoir. I just received a litermeter last week, and should be setting that up soon to control the dosing.

I made two reactors. Both were a pain to add Kalk, so a friend and I modified the units. The follow are pictures (no more tape):
We used 2 half inch unions and one 3/4 union for the top.
Next I would like to make a small CA reactor simular to the Corallife. I have a MRC2, but the thing is so damn big I had to put it outside.
