My first mag :D

Hello,

anemone was over month and half in store, so not going to cipro it rigth away.
Mouth seems quite OK from my view, but my eye is not trained well.
It just arrived few minutes ago, acclimating atm.
Lets hope for good results.
I have LTA in same 55g tank, DSB AIO, NO3 PO4 not measurable by salifert, KH 8 (tank is 1/2yo).
Moving frags to QT tank just in case of mag wandering around for first days. LTA will follow if mag will not stop in few days.
~90W LED over tank, I have burned every coral I tried to place on top of reef without proper acclimation to light.
The sweet spot for nem would be on opposite side of jebao wp25(socks applied) which is blowing on that spot.
So my LTA picture and than mag how it arrived to new home.

Congrats on the Mag.Looks like you are ready just in caes it starts the deflate/inflate cycle.I treated my mag with cipro when I got it home.Being the first one I have ever owned I didn't take the chance of looseing it.Keep us updated on how it does.

Beauty in DT, there is still a lot of stuff floating in water after moving rocks.
And clowns looking on their planned home from their sarcophyton few inches away.

LTA realized something is going on. Tried to retract to sandbed, but as there was too much sand in its plastic cup, it could not. So left it.
I emptied plastic cup, returned LTA to it and it stayed there for now. In classic night look.

Mag was moving around, but after I returned it to desired location and fine tuned streams it stop moving.

Lets hope no battle of tentacled titans will come.

Agree, lets hope not.

How does it do when lights are out? Retracting or deflating much?

lights went out shortly after I added it
after lights out it is not "standing" so much
but it does not deflate tentacles as long as I do not mess with stream.

Finally my own photos, but not turning on lights.
Clowns are running between sarcophyton and mag :D

Wow, looks like it's doing well. Sure looked better than my Mag when I first introduced it :( what are you feeding it now? If you're feeding it bigger pieces of meat is it holding it well?

I did not tried to feed it till now.
1x0.5x0.5cm cod fillet dropped on tentacles without turning off stream.
It looked like not sticky enough but mag managed to hold it on 2nd try and push to mouths in the end.

BTW other's mag also deflate a lot of tentacles when u turn stream off ?

behaving well during day, mouths closed

Very nice. I just got mine Saturday and it looks like they may be twins.

Beautiful tank, and I hope we both continue to have great luck with this species.

we are hanging there, mouths still closed.

Not moved since 2nd day, but I am concerned a little about it standing on coral branch. Not on flat rock - it seems stable there, but I am probably going to rearrange rocks so it has more natural position.
It seems like it move half way to ball during night, but as foot does not have strong connection to bottom it does not finish it.

still on same spot, move to new flat rock is getting close.
Night atm so just night shot.
And I could not resist this little Malu for 25$, it is so small, yellow so far, with few tentacles looking little purple.
That void spot left after LTA had to be filled in.
Montipora confusa had fallen to shadow area, so brown out, just placed there temporarily to see size.
