My First NPS - Rhizo

Yeah I don't know what they did to it, my friends bought it off here I believe, misleading seller and it looked pretty sickly when they got it but totally saveable. Looked ok for awhile and then really went downhill, I think they were overfeeding it and poor tank conditions .It mostly looked like this for months but eventually regrew skeleton and looks good.

I agree with StunReefer. Great recovery on that one and thanks for sharing. It's interesting how the tentacles on that one (maybe because flow is off) are almost curly cue shaped rather than just straight.

Thanks! To be honest, it was literally a shot in the dark that I found this one. As I mentioned in the first post, I was e-mailing Todd at Cherry Corals to see what other NPS he had (he only posts about 20% of his stock on his site) and he mentioned that he might have something I'd like. He sent me a pic of the Rhizo and we went from there.

Might be worth shooting him a quick message (use the Contact Us part of his site).

Hopefully you can come across one.

Great find. I check Cherry's site almost daily and never saw that one, or it would have been gone! Rhizo is next on the list for the nps tank. Nothing like getting into the nps side with the apex coral!

Although I've enjoyed the heck of out this Rhizo since getting it a few months back, I've come to enjoy the Dendro and Sun Coral I've accumulated a little more. Before posting this in the For Sale section, thought I'd give the NPS folks a shot at it first.

Bought 2, a red one and a white, last week but you've got a very unique one. Is it in about the same condition as it was in the pics? Waiting for the overnights to get into the 30s, hopefully tomorrow or weds, to have my new ones shipped and easier to sneak a 3rd in at the same time!

Got it.

Yup, it's actually grown a little bit since I took the pictures above and looks pretty much the same. Maybe not quite as pink as when I got it from Cherry but that might have been him boosting the saturation a bit...plus top down things always look better. I've been feeding it about once a week using Larry's Reef Frenzy and it sucks it down and comes back for more.
