My first structural HDR

Well, I've been trying to HDR small things like flowers and bugs and not really seeing a huge difference. It adds a neat effect but not really what I was looking for.

I was out at my brother's last night and I went ahead and HDR'd his house, what do you think?

I probably need to do some more work with the photo, either lighten up the left side of the lawn or tone down the lawn in front of the house, it's a little bright there.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with it, I love the way HDR effects clouds.

I'm motivated to go get some more shots this weekend, providing we have plenty of cloud cover, right now the dang sun is out

I also need to learn how to use the perspective tools in Photoshop so I can make the lines of the house vertical!

i really like it! it looks great. personally i would cut the image in half and use the left side by itself!right about where the plant is growing in front of the deck!

What program are you using? I've been using photomatix but it gives the watermark. Not sure if I want to drop $100 on it yet.

I played around with the free version for a while too before I bought it. I dont use the HDR stuff a LOT but it's nice enough of a tool that I went ahead and purchased.

You can do hdr in photoshop cs2 and above.

Recty, I'm playing with hdr also. How many shots did you use for the photo you took? Did you use the AE mode?

Yes, but you'll need a program that does tone mapping, like photomatix. I use CS4 and the photomatix plugin for most shots although if I have just a single shot I use photomatix only.

I use three shots for all the HDR stuff. -2 0 +2 and I use the bracketing feature of the camera.
