I'm always open to thoughts and suggestions...

Looks very nice. I have the same tank and hardware as you do except I added another powerhead. I like the scape. What is the very top coral in the picture?

Would like to see more pics too.

That is one of my kenya trees.

I will be adding some more pictures soon. I've had to move some things around and I've also made a few coral additions. I have a mushroom being held in place with some netting and rubber bands so as soon as it attaches I will put up another FTS.

Thanks!!!!!

Here are a few pics of the newer corals that I have....

Here is an update!

I've recently been fighting with my green mushroom trying to get it to stay put. I started with the newbie method of placing it where I wanted it and leaving it alone. Next morning it was in the sand. I then used a rubber band over it and the rock to keep it in place but you can't contain slime. I really was proud of my next solution. I cut a piece off of a mesh bag that we had in the fridge holding onions and put the mushroom in place, covered with the mesh and held in place with 2 rubber bands. He didn't end up in the sand but he did work his way up and out of position and turned over where he would never attach to the rock. Then after requesting help on the Reef Central Chat site, I placed some gravel in the lid of a yogurt cup and placed the mushroom on top of the gravel. I then covered the lid with the mesh and secured with the rubber bands. The problem was, it was very shallow and the shroom worked his way up to the edge and mesh. So, I finally got a small tupperware cup, not much bigger than a shot glass, transferred the contents and now he is comfortably in place and hopefully will attach in a couple days. Fingers crossed and prayers said.

Last night I went to my LFS which isn't even open for business yet to get some RO/DI water and the guy had remembered me saying I wanted a sun coral. He had one in his tank when I got there! A big one with 2 sides that he said he would splice if I didn't want to spend the $50 for the whole thing. I told him I wanted the "whole thing" unless he had someone else that wanted some. I got it all! and I saw a very orange sponge and grabbed it too. I took a couple pics (below) but they are taken with my iPhone. I will post better pics when the sun coral comes out and I have my good camera out.

When I get everything in place, the Sun Coral opens and the Green Mushroom is in place I will post another FTS.

Very nice, just got the same set up and was wondering what kind of corals I could keep with the stock lighting, you've given me some good ideas:thumbsup:

Bad news...the green mushroom I had in the cup didn't make it. I'm not sure what the problem was but it died and turned to mush in a very short period of time. All my other coral are doing fine and my water chemistry is good. It could have been a lack of water flow in the cup but I'm not sure.

As I said my other coral are doing well. I'm currently spot feeding my sun coral, wellso, duncan and acans with mysis shrimp every morning between 8-9 am. The sun coral is starting to come out but hasn't fully opened as of yet. I will be getting some cyclops-eeze soon to mix things up.

Thank you all for the compliments! I'm learning a lot as I go.
