My first tank drilling expierence.20L

To drill glass with the dremel, just make sure you are using a tile, diamond bit. When you are drilling make sure there is a dam (puddy, duct tape, whatever) surrounding the drilling area that has at least a layer of water for cooling and dust suppresion. Go slowly and it is a cinch.

Doesn't work to well on the smaller tanks with the thin glass (1/8") though. I must have broken three 5 gallon tanks trying to drill a bulkhead hole for a fuge.

All drilled.

measured center of 15",& traced from outside with a Sharpie.

SWEET!!! :D

Been following your work. That FTS looks NICE. I have a question though, it looks like your missing a couple of teeth from the overflow. Your not afraid something might get back there?

Looks great so far! If you're looking to keep stuff from going through the teeth try using gutterguard. Just cut a little strip of it and glue it to the acrylic. It'll let the same amount of water through but stop any snails or fish from slipping by.
