My fish is sick or hurt!?

Hi,

I bought a silver lyretail molly and I noticed it's side fun closest to its gill is stuck straight out . He's not moving it . Is it hurt or does have an illness and if so how do I cure /fix it??

Some times fish will get a clamped fin which is a sign of disease but not sure I'm familiar with a fin that just sticks out constantly. Was the fish QTed, and is this in a saltwater tank or freshwater?
