My fish tank

If it has 5 splits, a lot of BS'n, is full of pictures and a lot of ups and downs, then that must be it :D

I really hope that everyone had a great holiday.

I finally switched out my VHO's after 17 months and earlier this week I switched out my radiums. The tank is doing well and growing in nicely. As I was changing out the vho's, I snapped these really quick. I guess it about time I invest in a proper topdown box :p

Sorry about the less than stellar quality

Awesome pictures! Im surprised you waited 17 months to swap out those Vho's. Do you have 2 bulbs or 4? How often do you swap out your radiums?

What kind of coral is this red acro? Does it have a name? Its soo nice

Looks great Mark. Looks like your giving BB a try?

Thanks Fonda. I could not source the diatoms that would liter the sandbed, so I removed it. I have 100 lbs soaking in the garage as I can not make up my mind. Luckily I put down a layer of PVC when I set up the tank.

Thanks. I only run 2 vho's and I usually switch out my vho's every 12 months are they are only used for coloration. As for the radiums, I switch them every 9-12 months.
That acro is clints red stag that originated from James at aquascene. I have also grown it together with the red robin.

Mark the sand could have been your problem. Time will tell. I know I keep a small amount of sand in the corner for my wrasses and it gets so dirty very quickly. I have to keep it cleaned out every couple months.

I sure hope that the sand was the cause. The BB makes the bottom of the tank look so clutter with all of these chalices on the bottom. At least I have started deciding which ones I want to keep.

Very nice! The pink tip is pretty insane in that top down shot and the grey PVC doesn't look bad at all.

Thanks Josh. I'm still not sold on the bb look so I guess I will just have to play "chalice bumber cars" until I make my final decision

I love you tank and the shots you take. Inspirational. I think this is the first time I posted on your thread but I have looked at it countless times.

Do you have any vids on the net?

Thanks for the compliments. No videos on the net or anything like that. Maybe I'll play around with that feature soon enough.

After watching Alabama whoop up on Florida this afternoon, I got the great idea to put sand back in display...

Even though the tank is somewhat cloudy still and I hope that found all of my chalices, I sure missed the sand when the tank was bb :)

Various sized aragonite before adding it
