My growing Blastomussa collection

I have been slowly collecting some blastos over the last year or so. I really liked them and decided to keep getting color varieties I didnt have. I have been getting them from other hobbyists, nearby LFS, or from online sites.

I picked up my first blasto from a petco over a year ago. A 10 head merletti frag. Here it is when I first got it

Here is the same frag now.

Thanks guys! The merlettis have been growing fairly quick while I am only getting about 7 new heads of wellsi out of all the ones I have, and those babies take long to develop.

Still looking around for morphs I don't have.

Man those are some beautiful Blastomussa!
I have noticed that the Merletti's grow a lot faster than the wellsi.

If you are every interested in getting rid of some frags let me know I really like numbers 1, 9, 10, and 19. I was sold a piece from a fragswap that looked exactly like the one in picture 19 in the photo online, but once I got it, it just looks tan with a green center.

I have a frag of blastos. Not sure what kind but it never seems to open. Everything else in my tank does great but they just don't open much. I've moved them all over and can't find a good spot. Any suggestions?

50 gal 29 sump
1.025 salinity
78 temp
440 cal
1300 mag
8.5 alk. Raising to 9

From a fellow reefer. They were fine in his tank so it's something to do with my tank. Not enough or to much light or flow is my guess. I don't know. They look healthy. I've had them about 5 months

Heres the best pic I can get. They are bright green center with red edges. This is the most I've ever seen them open. There's about 10 heads total.

Here is an updated picture of that last dual colony.

Here is a current FTS of the tank. Probably will change soon as I move some of the blastos around to find the spots they like.

I get my blastos from other hobbyists, nearby stores, and on occassion I will break down and buy them online.
