My GSM coming on too strong?

I've had (and lost) a couple of BTA's over thye last few years and figured I just wasn't cut out for it but with my new 300G set up with all of the better filtration and plumbing I figured I give it one more try. I found a nice green/red morph yesterday about 4 in.'s across and brought it home. In every case, and again yesterday, my GSM lasers in on his new home and immediately hosts; laying about, rubbing himself all though the tenticles and the oral disc, he never strays for nore than a couple of minutes at a time. Given my concern for the BTA's well-being, could this have been part of why my previous attempts have failed so badly? Should I cover the 'nem for a while so GSM can't get to it? If so, for how long?

How large is the GSM in relation to the anemones you're adding? If the nems are small and the GSM is big it could be "smothering" it to death. How long has your new setup been up? It could also be that your new system is not ready for an anemone yet.

The GSM is about 3 in's long and the oral disc of the BTA is perhaps 4 in.'s. The GSM defnitely fills him up. The tank has been set up about 6 mos. I've not yet lost a 'nem in this tank. The BTA is bubbled up which I took as a good sign.
