I currently do 45 min formalin bath, TTM, prazi on 2nd and 4th ttm, then into quarantine tank for two weeks.

Looks more like a yellow or scopus snout. The "long" snout, if its there is easy to see. At least half again as long as a yellows possibly double the length

When you hear Black Tang Hybrid it is either the color with some green with the black or the snout not being long that makes it a hybrid. In your fist picture the tang looked perfectly black and why the question of the snout.
