My Little clowns got a question

I have had clowns for about a month now and i love them i really do they are active and love to eat. But They stay in the top 5 inches of water all day. They host my magfloat (not ready for an anomone) But if i move the mag float lower they will not go to it... they never have been near the rocks and even at night stay at the top... Is this normal? I love these guys dearly, but my lawn mower blenny is more active then these guys.

I think ocelaris clowns stay up top more often. I've heard a lot of people ask the same question. What kind of clowns are they?

They are strange critters for sure. My Percs do swim around during the day, but totally stop swimming at night and sort of end up in the corner where the current pushes them. I've had them for a year, so I guess it's normal for them.

haha...ok, thats probably the issue. Nothing to worry about at all! Thats just where they feel the most comfortable. If you ever set up another tank or, hopefully not!, something happens to your ocis, look into getting a pair of true percs. : )

My maroon hosted my maxi jet (near the top of the tank) would never venture near rocks etc. She was tank raised.

BUT... The minute I put an anemone in the tank (and i mean, while it was acclimating!) She RAN to it. and hasent left the nem since LOL
