My Little Piece of Reef

Lost as usual
I finally have picked up enough courage :sad1: to post my tank in Youtube.

The music was picked by my wife.

This 75-gallon tank has been upgraded in equipment and slowly transformed from softies & lps to mixed reef since 1.5 years ago. For the past few years, this tank had its shares of up and down.

All SPS started from 1 to 1.5" frags. You can see the Bali green slimer and Miami Orchid are the fast growers.
The 6-line wrasse and the Purple tang have been in the tank for about 10 years; so are some of the softies.

Enjoy!

Looks great! You're right; the Slimer and Orchid are very fast growers! I look forward to seeing this tanks progression. Thanks for sharing!

Your tank is beautiful. Can you give more info on your lights? What leds and what bulbs are you using? Thanks.

Nice tank!

Thanks for the appreciation.

Very nice tank. That is awesome to keep a purple tang that long. They are beautiful tangs.

Yeah, it is a beautiful old fish now.:lol2:

Want to share with you that my Pink Lemonade is a very fast grower. I need to trim it soon.

This is from Dec. 2010

A year and 2 months later (today)

One thing I would like to point out is that the zoa from the old photo has lost all the red color. You can see that in the second picture. I don't know what caused this. Anybody has similar experience????

Folks, I just updated the tank video. It has been over 7 months.
No drastic changes. My 10 yrs old 6-line died and was replaced by a mystery and a yellow coris wrasses. Again, the slimer and miami orchid grow like weeds. I will thin them down very soon. All SPS were started with 1 to 1.5" frags.
The parameters are quite stable after I began using 2-part via 2 dosers.
Still trying to learn to shoot video under led.
So enjoy! Hope you like it.

Awesome growth!! Saw the FTS on both videos and the miami orchid and green slimer doubled if not tripled in size.
