I really don't want to do this but I'm worried about the mold in my apt. Everything is in good condition and the tanks parameters are spot on, I'm getting amazing growth, unfortunately I'm also getting mold growth.

Ouch, sorry you're taking things down. And that's a steal of a deal for sure. If you do part things out I'd be interested in the Vlamingi and Naso tangs, the hawkins blue, the purple austere, the rasta zoas and fruit loop zoas.

Would it not be possible to just get a quiet de-humidifier to take care of the moisture problem? My inlaws have a Frigidaire model that is barely audible.

Don't do it. I had pretty bad black mold in my apartment with 5 aquariums. I got a 50 pint dehumidifier to solve the humidity problem, and a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide and some paper towels to take care of the mold. I'd recommend a dehumidifier to anyone who lives in our climate and has a smaller apartment. The dehumidifier easily takes out whatever my tanks can evaporate.

Most of the mold is in the windowsills, i checked the air ducts and at least it hasn't got there. Ive noticed I haven't had much energy lately and i wake up with burning throat and lungs, today and yesterday I am full on sick, Im a little hesitant to believe a dehumidifier and elbow grease will clear this up. 30 gallons of evaporation a week i would need a serious dehumidifier to take care of that. Sucks cause my tank is the best it has ever looked. I'm out of town staying with family, I need to have something figured out by Sunday.

my wife and I know what you are dealing with. We have a 240 reef and 72 gallon and have had to deal with mold before. We know what you're going through and believe you me it sucks. I broke out a spray bottle full of diluted bleach and went to work. Then I almost died when I got the bleach on alot of my wife's clothes. Ill never forget that day.

I will give you $400 and you keep the tank, stand, lights, and sump??? I can pick up Sunday if you are interested? Mainly want live stock, reactors, and chemicals... Surely you can easily get $400 for tank and lights on Craigs List.. If I had room I would take it all. But if my wife was to see me pull in the drive way with another tank she would shoot me.

i olive in a apartment with a 120 , 30 ,56 , and a 10 gal tanks and do not have mold issues run i has some pop up in the sun room but bleach took care of that
, running your ac will also help with the humidity that's all a dehumidifier is , but if your having respritory issues due to it then you have no chioce, also talk to your neighbors and see if any of them have mold issues . it may be from existing mold issue covered up with paint like most apartments do to deal with it
