Never really paid attention before when I do my morning feeding of flakes into the reef, but this morning I saw the mandarin coming out as he usually does. Watched a little while longer and couldn't believe it when I saw the little bugger picking and eating flakes off the bottom...and not spitting them back out! I got him when he was extremely small...like 1 1/2" (smallest mandarin i've ever seen in my life)....and figured he must be eating something else other then the pods since he's extremely fat and has doubled in size in a few months. Kind of a meaningless post but I was soooo happy I had to share
