After stressing over what quad going on, and being calmed by fellow RC'ers (thanks ESP to Stephlionfish!) he molt is over and of I disnt already think my mantis was cool, he is now ridiculously cool! My 5 y/o says he's no long Juggernaut (red smasher) now we're calling him Hulk lol he is now Bright green with yellowish orange appendages (proper name - no clue) but he is Oozing with AWESOME!!! I know I'm probably over excited but I'm a newb in the mantis world so this to me is SO FRIGGIN COOL!

After molt!

Nice. If you go to dimmer, blue-spectrum lighting (like actinics) you can change him back red for the next molt :)

Yes. It is believed that N. wennerae's coloration has to do with the color spectrum and intensity of light. Those that live nearer the surface (with bright, broad-spectrum lighting) tend to be green. Those that are deeper (with dim, blue-spectrum lighting) tend to be red.

I tried that with my N. wennerae and it didn't work for me. It went through at least 2 molts and stayed green. Maybe it takes a little longer or maybe the lights were still too bright.

Very cool
