My mantis

Hi all, i have had mine for around 1 month, my tank has been going through a bad patch but it is finished now, the mantis has never been bothered tho.
My question is, you guys all take awsome pics of your mantis roaming around, mine is never out! you can only ever see his head popping out. Its anoying, hes awsome i wanna see him roaming.

What kind of lighting do you have? If I don't turn on the light during the day mines out roaming the tank. When I turn it on at night he's less out if out at all. Unless he's hungry...

i dont actually have much lighting... it just one flurencent. I cant keep ne crabs or snails so if i reduce the light i would need to clean to algea so often. But i am upgrading it ne ways! (cos i like white light)
Mine seems to have no ID, it looks like a g. smithii but it bigger than what it says to be maxed out...

I think I read on this forum that mantis shrimp are diurnal and roam about during the day. Maybe you could try to find his burrow and try to lure him out with some food on a stick near his burrow.
