Is this healthy for the carpet, I can't see how this is symbiotic friendship. My male keeps biting my carpet, like he trying to pull it over his body like a blanket.

Yeah this is typical behavior atleast IME. From time to time my clowns will nibble on my nems. I dont think they actually do any damage though.

Its Is very hard to get a maroon clown used to any kind of anemone not just carpet... If they like the anemone they will leave it alone... I also got a maroon I bought the anemone and clown from the same place so they were used to each other

Good Luck!!!!!

Thanks for the replys, my anenome looks ok, but tiny pieces were torn off and I watched the male bite the ends of the carpet. The male and female are both hosting in it and seem to love the carpet, my experience is like AquaReeferMan, where I have seen them bite, but they don't seem to eat it or want to kill it, maybe this is some sort of communication with the carpet? Will the pieces that broke off grow?

i to have a pair of maroon clowns who loved to chew up my carpet, finally i had to remove the carpet (poor thing). and i replace it with a large sebae.

Not all the time but most maroon clowns tend to do that. They should get used to each other after a while... or he dosnt like the anemone.
