My maroons love the magnifica

Wow, i hope to post pictures of both in QT soon but the Mag had a run in with a hydor powerhead so we are playing this by ear right now to see if it recovers.


iF anyone can post pictures of the flow hitting the mag, i would appreciated it...


I mean do they like to get beat up like bobby beats whitney or just an active current. I have the powerheads off right now for the mag to get used to my 150w halides right about it. Other than that, its doing suprisingly well in my 20L QT tank. I have had it three days. Mouth is closed. Have not tried to feed it yet. I am going to feed it a krill sometime here soon. Mouth was wide open last night after the powerhead incident.



What are your thoughts on trying to feed it today?


FWIW, the purple on the base is getting a tad lighter but the tents are a dark peach color(wife says) with white tips

Is there zoo in the base?

Other than that, my female clown LOVES it..... almost too much. We will see. I have heard of them loving their anemone to death.

They like moderate to high flow, preferably not laminar. You definitely want to see their tentacles moving around some, but not blasted. Interesting your maroons took to the magnifica. They definitely prefer BTAs to magnifica. If the Hydor tore the anemone, well, I hope it didn't because a newly obtained H. magnifica can't tolerate much. They need perfect conditions until they are well established.

Ive seen maroons host everything but I think they think this thing is a bta b/c it has very bloated tentacles almost with bubble tips.l
