My miracle anthias

I bought a trio of Bartlett's Anthias from DD after two weeks ofquarantine I put them in my DT.
Few days later two of them went missing. I was upset especially when I knew they were super active and eating like crazy. 3 months later!!!!!!
I found one of them in my overflow, I have a dual overflow and one side is facing the wall so I couldn't see it. Poor guy was trapped there for 3 months!!!
Now she is back in my DT hiding in the rocks and coming out when I feed. I am shocked that she survived there for so long!!!

Thought I would share my little Christmas miracle.

Just goes to show you how much food your overflow sucks in... It is ironic because my male lyretail scares all of my fish so they jump into the overflow. I finally made a cover...

Funny you mentioned that. Both of my overflows have covers!! i have no idea how did she get there :)

nice...
had something similar happen with a pinktail trigger...
walked into my fish room and smelled fish- which is never good...
looked around and found nothing....checked the tanks and noticed my pt was missing...
found her behind my tank in between 2 elec floor heating units-they were not on...
she was upside down and dry as can be but when I went to pick her up to bury her, she moved and grunted...
so, I dropped her back into the tank...she sunk to the bottom and then started to swim in slow small circles while listing heavily to one side...figured she was a gonner...
the next morning she was swimming around like nothing happened...
simply amazing...
still have her and she is a total pita, lol...
the fish we keep are truly amazing and a lot tougher than we think in many instances...
