My Nanostream 6025 Review and Pics

Beautiful tank, Rippin! I'm guessing you want to go with at least two 6025's if not a 6025 with a 6045. The two 6025's are perfect in my 40, but your tank is a bit bigger (width wise).

How do you like the Deltec? They are supposed to be pretty smokin for a hob.

Thanks, Drummereef.

The Deltec works well and pulls out some really foul smelling stuff (think nasty sewage smell). I don't pull out a lot, but I'm light on the feedings. The best thing about this HOB skimmer is that it is really quiet - seeing that the pump is on the outside of the tank. For me, a quiet skimmer was second on important features, right after performance.

The Seio 1500 that I'm running has a small amount of flow adjustment. I have it closed off as far as it can go. I am happy with the amount of flow but it is really concentrated. I'm guessing that with the closed adjustment, I'm running about 1200-1300GPH. Using two Nano 6025 would theoretically give me the same amount of flow but with better dispersion.
I'm thinking that if I went with a 6045 then I 'd have the same amount of flow that I have with the Seio. Add another 6025 and the flow would be too much. Do you think this logic makes sense?

I have two modified 6025 pumps in my 54 gallon corner tank. The flow is brisk enough that I definitely don't need the 6045.

modified???....how so?

The mod has the potential to result in a broken prop, I would still cover the motor but not the prop or screen. The tube is there to guide the prop as it corrects it's rotation, without the tube the prop could hang up or hit the screen.
