my new 120 rr

Looks great so far! whats is the lower section on the side of the stand for? And tell Josh to get off the couch and help! geez!

Thats is very cool. I think I am going to do the same tank one day with the T5 set up on it. What size MH's are you putting over this one?

yeah the ones at the store suck though, not sure why, but some of the corals look great, others aren't I think i need to go in and run some test on the water, maybe order a test for magnesium...I don't know. SPS are still pretty new to me.

You might want to talk to Matt, he picked up some really nice brand new electronic ballast online somewhere, he put them on the three DE 250s on the big tank, and WOW! huge increase in lighting, but he pretty much went from really crappy ballast, to really good ballast.
With yours, it would probablly be a noticable increase, but not as much.

Are you and josh going to be able to get into the bonus rounds for the frag swap? They did it really cool this time.

2 rares or 10 frags for each round, 3 rounds max, and the bonus round doesn't take away your normal picking round, so you get to pick twice per round for the first three rounds.

If frags only, can only have 10 softies, but colorful zoas won't count as a softie.

Congratulations! I wish at times I would have bought a 6 foot tank. My 75 seemed so much larger than the 29 when I brought it home, now I am running out of room. Too much invested to start over now. But....tax refund is coming.

You go Scott! Hey meant to call you back, but been a busy weekend! My blue milli is looking wonderful, and the blue tip...stag? or acro? loos great.
I think a couple of Matts lost color, but he has just 10k's running on that SPS tank right now, that should be changing soon.
You have to swing by some time.

im not going for a number of reasons. one my tank is empty so i have nothing to contribute to the swap. also my daughter has some sort of race at the sundial bridge that day plus the folowing weekend im going to stonyford for three days to go motorcycle riding. oh and stop highjacking this build thread.:D

IMO HQI/DE MH bulbs should be run off magnetic (ANSI M80) ballasts if you want to get the correct/best output... you can make things REALLY pop :eek1:

The front looks so clean, it is almost a shame to have to cut a door into it.
I wonder how much trouble it would be to leave the front all one piece and just make it pop on and off some how.
I might have to look into that. It almost sounds easier then cutting out a door, but is probablly easier said then done.
