My new 180G system

Hi Guys,

This is my new 180G system

Setup :

Tank : 73x24x20

Light :4 x Hydra 52
Flow : 2 x Tunze 6105 + MP 40
Return : Eheim 1262
Skimmer : Octopus 1000SSS

The tank is BB and the bottom glass was painted with white in the outside

I´m running in this reef for the first time an ATS ( algae scrubber ) and I have a refugium with live sand.

The sand was collected on the beach, inside the water.

After just 3 days I added some fishes and corals to the tank and after 10 days I added 9 tangs, all my corals and LV.

Live sand is amazing, my reef has now 35 days and I never found NH4 , No2 or No3 here. Beyond that I can see a lot of life in my refugium and in the main display.

I still need to buy more SPS to complete the empty spaces in the tank

Very nice, back to big tanks huh Roberto? I look forward to seeing this more and more, as with your others. Is the live sand a DSB? Must be great to be able to get that down the beach in bra. Our sand is full of volcanic rubbish!

Tank looks so good. Actually you gave me a good idea. I never thought to paint the bottom of a bare bottom tank. Doesn't look too bad. I might try that out for myself. Good luck with the build and be sure to post pictures of the new sps's as you add them!

It´s a Leather coral

My ATS started to work so I turn off my skimmer. The idea is to run the tank skimmerless.

Beautiful set up man, and also like everyone else said painting the bottom white is just an awesome idea. It looks so fresh lol.

I used acrylic paint

90% for all blues
30% white
30% red
30% green

No....first time using this paint, but the paint it´s outside so I can´t see any problem
