So what do you guys think of it so far and my upcoming plans??
Also what are some good starters to look for when my cyhcles done??

Looks good! I see alot of places were SPS can be placed.

When your levels are stable, you can try out a Montipora Digitata or a Capricornus.

BB!!!!!!! Awesome

The Rockwork looks Awesome! I can't wait to see the progress you make with it.

thanks for all the compliments an suggestions.with the rock work i tried to keep it all off the glass because on my old tank it was touching on both sides and i could never clean it.Reefrocker thanks i might try an orange cap at first and a red digi.I also know slimers are easy so i may try one of those too.Tonight im getting more rock so ill update:)

Hey looking good so far... I'm setting up a 29 BB as well how do you like the the Ocean light, hows it with heat, noise? That Seio should be giving you a lot of flow, I was worried the 1100 I ordered would be too strong but I heard the flow is spread out pretty good. Well keep it up and good luck.

i like the light alot.at first the ballast is a little loud for like 2 days but then after that its pretty quiet.the seios are really great at spreading flow so i think youll be fine with the 1100

I have a 29 gallon with 2 drains at the top corners of the tank also. How do you get the detritus to get to the top? My flow seems to always push it in a circle from top to bottom, then in a figure 8 across the tank.

nope i havnt had that problem yet becuase its cycleing still but i hope i dont have that prob. when im tryin to get it to the skimmer

thanks onthefly. ive gotta go back and see your thread you sent me again on the DIY kalk reactor.i would like to add kalk when i get my calc. reactor so it brings the ph up.Is the kalk still working for you??

i have the same light over my 29 hex, ive been very pleased with the unit thus far. after a year with the 20k ab bulb that came with it i switched it out for the ph 14k and have been extremely happy with it. Good luck

you should lower that light a to about ~8'' off the top of the water, so the sps can soak it up real good :D

when i had my 29 gal tank

i had a mag 9.5 and 2 seio 1100s in there

got tired of the seio and put a tunze6060 in there (now that is flow)

anyways i had a reactor of mine just keep in mind that you should buy a efficent calcium reactor and have the water flow into a cup above the sump that drips in the sump to hopefully blow off the some of the co2 before it getting in the tank

i also ran 2 euro-reefs in the sump

after i got the halide hooked up i knew that i need a chiller so be careful with the light

aquajon: no i didnt drill it myself i had a company drill it.it wasnt bad i got all 4 holes for 40 bucks.

alten:yea im thinking of switching to the 14k the 2ok is a little too blue for me.

Drake: im having some flucuations with temp. right now so until i get a fan to cool off the halide im going to keep it 9" but yea ill put it down to 8 soon.

Chadfarmer: yea im going to be getting an MRC. ive heard there pretty good company??im hoping to do the kalk reactor to bring ph up so ill and obsorb as much co2 as possible.yep im having trouble with the heat myself(morning:78-afternoon:83-84)What chiller did you gett???good price????if so where did you get it??

pacific coast imports 1/10th hp

i bought i from a guy in california when it was month old

they can be bought new for under 400.00

i ran a mrc on the 29 had the h.o.t. model before i bought the sump

(i hated it couldnt wait to get rid of it) bought a geo, man what a difference used half the amount of co2
well now i have a deltec and only run it for 2 weeks to i cant behonest about the reactor(if i dont like it the geo is going back on)(bought the geo and wanted a deltec so i figured i would give it a try)
