First of all, Kennyboy, learn to use the "edit" feature so you don't post 16 times in a row.

Secondly, companies like PetCo SELL FISH and only have the fish in that environment for a period of days or rarely weeks. A QT has the same principle; fish are only in there for a short time period. If your tangs show no signs of ich in your nano, why are you doing hyposalinity for a month before adding them to a new tank? Doing such a task only adds the exclamation point to how ignorant of a reefkeeper you are. I would recommend not doing that, but you'll do it anyway, or maybe you are assuming they will have ich from the stress caused by their closet they live in. Oh wait, your tank doesn't have ich. My bad. They will never get it. Well said, kennyboy.

As to the poor, helpless tangs that you are owning, may you have a wonderful sized tank in your next life.

For the record, I would LOVE to see a picture of this "125 gallon tank." Take a picture with two $1 bills in your hand, infront of the tank. I would love to see it.

Prepare to eat your words ben. I wasnt referring to my tank in particular ben. If "any" tank doesn't have ich your fish will not get it no matter how stressed they are! And I have seen white spots on my blue tang buddy. Since the first day I brought him home from the fish store he was already carrying ich. To my regret I did not examine him at the lfs before I bought him.

Notice how in all of my comments I am not attacking anyone personally. You guys need to cool it off. Your starting to hurt my feelings...

Wow Kennyboy, what a newsflash! I have been in this hobby for 3 years, and never have I read about ich! Thanks for the lesson, pal! I wonder why your tang still has white spots on him? For some strange reason, my blue tangs white spots disappeared soon after adding him to my tank with 4 feet of swimming area, which is still the bare minimum. I'm hurting your feelings in hopes to try to set you straight. It's a lost cause... and I'm about done. But...

...about that picture...

Fish can develope a certain level of immunity to ich but it will never fully disappear from your tank. WOW you have been in the hobby for three years and you still believe that? You think it will just disappear if your fish are happy? You need more experience.

Hey ben. Lets be friends. When I get my tangs in my 125 will you stop hassleing me? We started out so good and with the best intentions! How did it come to this??? I'm man enough if you are.

Of course I am not calm, this guy is making me sick with his tank. But, I'm not posting anymore, all I want to see is a picture of his "125 gallon tank." Then I will leave him and his knowledge alone.

I'm calm...just sitting back on my bed, laptop on my lap, laughing at The Ringer...calm as can be. I did not say that ich is created by stress. You quoted me, yet I could not find that sentence anywhere in my post. Hmm...I know ich isn't created by stress, but your fish will only be susceptible to the parasites when they are STRESSED. Thank You.

A quarantine will prevent even stresssed fish to not even contract it at all because it is not present in the aquarium at all. Am I right or wrong with that statement?
