My new 3g Picotope

So I've been seeing a lot of picotopes online and thought "that would look good on my desk" so I ordered one from Foster and Smith and it arrived today =)

Will being adding an ac70 modded with fuge and a par38 bulb soon.

I tried a picotope, i think the same one as you, 3.5 gallons, and it came with a little mini light...if it's the same one, i'd replace the light, it didn't seem to do much, and all i had was some gsp, some frogspawn and some zoanthids. i replaced the light with one i rigged from a bjb all in one (the small 12 gallon i think)....anyhow, hope it goes well!! good luck!

i still have my picotope, it was cool, but i went with a 20L in the long run, no pun intended. Just got tired of keeping up with the top off. Also, i went with a mixed PAR bulb on there. Had a nice blend of blue, violet, red, green and white...made the tank really look stunning. A single bulb is all it needed.

I would try and customize a lid for this tank. The non stop top offs get old really fast! Good idea with the modded fuge

Thx for all the input guys. The evaporation hasn't been too bad I just keep a gallon Jug under the desk of RODI and top off in the morning and towards the end of the day. If it gets to annoying I'll add an ATO. Yeah I don't plan on keeping the light that came with it will have a full spectrum Par38 over it before I add any corals.
