My New 400 Gallon [Attention Equipment Junkies!]

Welcome back Kris. Call me if you need anything.
Hahanmeister, it's photon lights from Germany.

Wow Tanya, timely post really.

When the tank was set up it was a replacement for a tank that died during Hurricane Rita.

Setting up this tank was an exciting but draining process and at some point I simply lost track of my desire to be in the hobby. I also lost a 2" Conspiculatus around that time as well. So I said screw it and turned off the lights and filtration for around a year......Just burned out I guess. Left water in and circulation pumps running only.

Just recently I decided to start the tank back up.

-I've removed 200lbs of sand [I don't believe in substrate anymore considering what I siphoned out of there:)].
-Removed all filtration/pumps for service.
-200 gallon water change
-Rearranged all rock. The Island effect is sorta gone now, I went with an open cave filled connection between the CL console in the center and the end of the tank.

All the equipment held up well really. Red Dragons are lights out for flow and function. The skimmer is still doing well, altho be warned if you remove your impellor for servicing there is a series of steps to put it back together, and the manual is in german. Thank God for pictures.

I'm considering selling a few parts to recoup some cash for restocking and or upgrades to the latest and greatest technology. I'll try to upload a few pitures this week.

Naka you have mail!!!

That's a tremendous system you've put together there. Hope all else works out and you get that puppy up and running!

im gladf to see your getting everything back up :) all i can see is... pictures please!!! would love to see your new setup :) and welcome back to the hobby!

With as much talent and creativity as you have... it's a shame that you lost your drive... I'm glad it's coming back and I hope it never happens to me.

I really REALLY enjoy how tall that rock stack is on the left. You have a tall tank, and you utilize its height perfectly.
