My new 450 Gal "pail"

Do you miss the actinic t5 pop in color for the bright greens? Or do you think the LEDs match in comparison? I have heard people going all LED but keeping two actinic t5s up on the sides just for greens. Thoughts?

I can't say I miss "actinic effect" on corals because I have great reflection from the green corals.

I can't say I don't miss the blue effect on the look of the entire space of the tank. I will solve it by adding a low consumption blue led stripes of center fixture.

Sorry for that I read this one quite a while back....

Wow, what a beautiful system. I am very envious of your success and would like to duplicate it. I am thinking about a 120 gallon system and starting to lay out the ground work....Tank, stand, sump with fuge, skimmer...

I hope that someday I can really have half the beauty that you have in your system. It must be really enjoyable to sit and watch the system in the evenings....
 
You have a beautiful tank. I was wondering my tank is 32 inches deep and how do you keep the coralline algae from growing at the bottom. My problem is my corals are in the way for stuff i can buy. So i see your stuff is growing nice and was wondering how you clean it? Thanks
 
Is that a bare spot on the bottom right hand side of the tank:eek1:... time to fill it!
You have yourself one gorgeous tank that would make any of us envious.
 
Beautiful tank and excellant growth.Good move to use Orphek light.I also use one plus two grow light LED on my 136 gallon tank and I must say the PAR and PUR I am getting from the Orphek is excellant.

How high is the Orphek's hung in your tank.

I'm not cleaning coralline algae on the bottom. In places where I don't have corals, it can grow but I cant notice it at all.
Every water change I vaccum the bottom too.

It's about 12'' above.
 
What is your favorite coral in your tank.

Can you give us a good picture of it? And tell us a little about it?
