My new 450 Gal "pail"

Hi Moshik
Thanks for posting the video, your reef is looking better than ever! The quality of the video was tempting me to put it up on my hd tv and watch it with surround sound....soon I won't have to dream and will have my own little under water world to gaze at! Ha ha!

Quick question...what did you use to glue the acrylic strips to the base and are they holding well?
I guess there is not a lot to cause them to move. A great idea that I have taken from you...thanks, but mine will be fed from the closed loop line.
Thanks again and all the best for 2012!

The acrylic stripes where glued to base horizontal stripe. These were siliconed to the bottom glass. It never moved.
I recommend very strong streams under the rocks. without them, These stripes can be a cage for detritus and powder and in the long run a source of Phosphate and Nitrate.

Thank you,

Thanks

I can't say I see any difference from the first day I used it.
Never had a problem with the diodes( no bulbs), none ever burnt.
I had a problem with one timer, which was replaced simply and immediately by their service.

OH MY GOD, this tank literally took my breath away lol, flabbergasted. So amazing, Poseidon would be jealous. lol I am surprised you have money left over for that stair railing and living room furniture! So beautiful man!

I will use pictures of your tank as blueprint to build my tank <If it's okay with you ^_^ >?

Could you please put more pictures of your sump ?

Thank you

You're welcome.

Sorry I don't have a picture of my sump and it's impossible to shoot it now under the tank.
I can try to look for a drawing.

Beautiful tank you have!

can i ask what you use to maintain your ca,alk and mg level? Your sps growth rate is incredible!

To you and your family let me wish you a Shana Tova.
What a stunning tank,as soon as I can push my eyes back into their sockets I will continue. I have just taken delivery of a tank with similar dimensions,so after seeing your tank I issued myself a challenge either to have my tank looking like yours or if it is possible better.
The pipes that you placed under the rock work, can you be a little more specific as to how you did this (size, nozzles etc). Are the pipes under the sand and rock the only returns you have.It kind of looks like you might have one in the top left corner.By splitting the returns does this not give the returns different pressures. How do you tell if pipes behind rocks are blocked. As I progress with my tank I am sure to have more questions, hope you will not mind.
