OMG sorry to hear about that Chuck, but i always try to put the fish that looks alike together from the beginning in QT than wait few weeks making sure they will get along. he looks fat and healthy and great addition over the weekend.

I think that the Black Spot is going to pull through OK. I'm glad that he is a large fish and able to recover from his wounds. I really wasn't expecting him to get beat up the way he did when I put him in the tank. Live and learn I guess.....

I've wanted this one of these tangs for years and haven't been able to find one. This guy arrive in a box weighing in at 45lbs. Can hardly wait to get him in a tank.

He is a Mustard (Guttatus) Tang - Acanthurus guttatus. Of course he went straight to the cave Travis built in the tank. (home for all new arrivials)

I have tried to find one of these after the first time I saw a picture of one. That's been over two years ago. This one is probably 7 or 8" so I think that the tank can now be considered full.

Ah man, I didn't need to see that. Goodwin9 I've been looking for one of those tangs for years. They never seem to be imported to Canada. I saw hundreds of them in Hawaii. You definately have a 1st class collection of tangs man.

Sorry Cougarman, but I had to show it. He came in with his lip a little beat up from the shipping, but other wise seems OK. No one bothered him, and he didn't have a problem with any of the other tangs. He is a little darker than I expected and am not sure if this is natural or due to shipping or his size.

By the way, you have a pretty awsome collections of tangs yourself! Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I like this guy because of his different markings, am waiting until he is used to the tank to see how he finally colors up. I think that he will make a nice addition to the tank.

Thank you!. I was a little worried after the last addition of the Black Spot and the battle he had, so I had my fingers crossed. So far, so good...
