The test kit from Aquarium Water Testing arrive today. I think that I will wait and send off sample off on Monday so it doesn't sit some where over the weekend.

That's neat, so you send off your sample and they analyze it for you?
That's what is supposed to happen. This is my first experience with them. They email results of 14 different parameters tested day after they receive samples. The don't test PH or salinity, but everything else you can think of.

seems like salinity would be an integral part of certain things they do test, like Ca and alk, right? I mean, those change base don salinity don't they, or is that just a misconception based on how much salt I use?

Interesting photo of the urchin in my 470 taken yesterday afternoon.

This picture was taken this afternoon. Apparently Urchins make a great meal for lobsters......

Dang the urchins dead...got them free anyways, but all else looks good.

The guys are right, like any coral move them far away that they cannot sting others. The can send out sweepers like galaxi corals. They look like really hairy millieporas....that is why they are one of my favorites...and are easier to take care of.

keep it all going.

post results of the water test....

can I pick up Shark on Tuesday...pool seems ready.

Do you think maybe it just came to and is roaming in the tank somewhere??
I believe in the second picture, that is the skeleton of the urchin, at least it is in the same place. I don't know what else those pieces could be.

Took an idea from Jonathan and had the electrician over this morning to install outlets for my salt mixing tanks so that I can set each pump up on a timer so that I am not running the pumps 24/7 Also had another set of outlets wired for the new QT tank (Quarantine tank). I am finally getting around to setting up a real one....

Still have room for more circuits, what can I add next.....

 "Room for more cicuits" does not equate to more power. :D

Are you using a Liquid Level Controller for your RO/DI? This is one piece of equipment that I find extremely useful.

How do I find Aquarium Water Testing?
www.aquariumwatertesting.com

I sent my samples off to them yesterday and look for the results later in the week. I tested all of the parameters myself to see how they compare to theirs.

Just spreading it around a little....

I'm not familiar with a Liquid Level Controller...more details PLEASE

Check out Liquid Level Controllers at SpectraPure. Many companies make these and essentially they are 2 or 3 float switches that control the RO flow. I use one that turns my booster pump on and off, as well as opens and closes the incoming water line. This way there is much less waste and I don't have to worry about starting and stopping my RO/DI maker. Just makes life a bit easier. :)

wow finally getting a qt up and running. congrats. how big is it gonna be?
It's a 75 gallon tank....

Is it separate from your systems, or are you going to plumb it so that you have the option of putting it inline, or separate?
