I'll wait until the retro kit arrives and I get a frame made for them. If the people at Reef Geeks are correct, the colors should pop! (I hope.)

Now that is a lot of rics. Some great colors too. Are they of decent size?
I think most all are quarter size or larger.. The last two shots were taken of the few I threw in the new 75 set up..

Did you buy the kit at IKEA or what?
I found them, they were under the bag of candy that was in the box. Now I should be set to go..........

dang does reefgeek send out candy with all their orders lol.

it's not as hard to setup those lights as you may think Chuck. looks confusing but farily simple.

I've heard of people dumping all of their money into their tanks, but this takes it to a new level!

You're even putting all of your pocket change in! :D

Very nice rics you have there, I've always been a big fan of them.

I can't believe it worked. Marc suggested wiring one set up which I did and they lit up!! Amazing for me Now the question is there are six lights and 3 ballasts. Do you suggest that I wire 1 & 6 to one ballast, 2 & 5 to the second, and 3 & 4 to the third???

Looks good Chuck. Make sure when you build the frame that the endcaps are snug against every bulb. You may decide to build the frame now so the two boards don't move, then affix all the endcaps on one end. Now insert the bulbs between the opposing endcaps, and carefully mark each one or screw down each one so they are snug. No gaps!

Once done, you can remove the bulbs, slide the waterproof ends over each end and reinstall.

Regarding ballasts, it doesn't matter. I'd probably just do two - two - two because that's how I think. :D

HOLY COWS did you get a few??? A FEW HUNDRED?

ANY reds or yellows??

Lunchbucket
I would describe them as more gold and pink, rather than red & yellow, can hardly wait to see them under the lights.

Those rics look sweet! I like the cube tank too!
Thank you, they did send a nice assortment. I am still debating whether or not I like the tank over the cube. Maybe now that the cube finally has lights, it will grow on me a little more.

A project that most people would have completed in half the time it took me is finally finished I finally got my retro fit kit up over the tank and operating....
