what size is that cubed tank? that would be a sweet looking tank for that. 1 island in the middle and rics all over the place. very colorful.
That is one of my thoughts, it's either the cube 24 X 36 X 12, or using the 75. Still trying to figure what lights would work best for the cube if I made it a recordea tank???.

This cube was just phase 2 or a 4 phase project....if I don't run out of steam and room.................

I think 1-175 watt or 1-250 watt hangging over the cube with a lumanarc reflector would be plenty of light over that size tank as it isn't very deep.

Did you save your old light reflectors, Chuck? Or did you sell those? A few T5s would be nice if you want try something new.

Yes, I still have 3 Lumenmax 2 reflectors. No bulbs or ballasts, so if I were to use them, what would you suggest doing? By the way, Phil (Dakotareef) is stopping by this afternoon to look at the ricordeas and maybe pick up a few. I looked back at the pictures you took of Phil's tank and see that he has some very nice ricordea rocks already in his tank. I want to turn either the 75 or the cube tank into an all ricordea tank and am unsure which would be best suited for it. Any thoughts?

Either tank will work fine, I'm sure. The cube might be more pleasing to the eye though.

One reflector with a 12,000K or 14,000K bulb might look pretty stunning and not need any actinic supplementation. 10,000K is just too white to make those rics look good. 250w is more than enough, and I'd keep it up off the water 12 to 14". Don't run the lights too long. 8 to 9 hours a day is plenty, if even that.

LOVE those tanks. Ricordia and zoo tank would be hot.

I found out what the problem was with my website. All my storage space was used up I had 65,000 emails!!! I never check it or use it so it took me hours to delete them.

Look at these gems in the bag!

The orange and the two in front (turquoise w/ green mouth and purple with pink mouth, colors don't show through right) are the new ones. One on the very left are some old ones I had.

Phil (Dakotareef), and his wife Jan just left after stopping over and viewing the tanks and checking out the new Ricordeas. Phil picked out 4 to add to his already nice collection in his tank. (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=906269) I talked Phil into feeding a sheet of Nori to the tangs while I took a couple of pictures...... Phil agreed with everyone else that the little cube would make the nicest setup for the new Ricordeas.

hey Chuck, after reading through the thread, I am still wondering what skimmer you're using to handle the bioload of so many fish.

I'm using the H&S A300-3X1260 on the tank.
