My New Additions!

Picked these two little ladies up yesterday evening at a new store. I had to see the quality of the store compared to others in the area. They had posted these in my club forums as they are a sponsor. The one hour drive was worth it by the looks of these two. These pylei fairy wrasses are in my 46 gallon QT tank. The rock is going to be removed after they settle in and I get the rest of my snails out. Lights were on to feed the two 5 month old clowns.

I will. They are supposed to be eating frozen mysis already. We will see about that tomorrow. In the morning I will see if they take flake. I am happy do far. I watched them for a few minutes before turning the lights off. One flashes at the other one, but the other is a nipper. It will be interesting to see who turns male!

What are the tell tale signs of a Male or Female Wrasse? How would I know to buy 2 Females, I don't know a whole lot about wrasses.

Just an update for those who are following.

They got their first two feedings today and I am very happy! This morning they both were in hiding when the lights came on, this is when I fed the two clownfish in QT with them flake food(larger sized powdered flake for the small clown mouths). They weren't really awake so they didn't come out to eat any. This afternoon(a few minutes ago actually) they ate mysis like pigs! There was no garlic or other additive added to the mysis. They just pigged out on it. Very happy with them so far. Hope to see them eat flake soon.

Got an interesting picture while trying to get a photo of one's eye to checkin the disease forum for a treatment if needed. Other than that they are great! Flashing at each other every so often. One is eating flake with no effort done on my part which is nice. She was just plucking the flake out of the water from feeding the baby clownfish. Some pictures from tonight.
