My new Baby

light diffuser beneath the sand is a somewhat common practice. in the event of a rockslide it prevents rocks from hitting the glass directly.

I have the same light, but the 6 foot version. Great light, but does put out a ton of heat. Be careful with the legs, they are junk. If you plan on moving a lot you might want to hang it or something. The one time I moved it(to hang it) a leg broke for no apparent reason.

Aside from that, great light.

Nice looking tank.

Funny you mention about the legs. about a week ago I came home to find that all of the four legs were broken for no reason at all. I order four more from ebay, mean while I have two standard lighting fixture acting as support.

There is finally some algae in the sand bed and on the live rock too, I'm going to do a 20% water change tomorrow because both the Nitrate and Nitrite are very high............I can't wait till the cycle is long gone.

patience is something I have to learn to have in this hobby. As of right now I'm getting frustrated because of the brown algae on the LR and of course my Tubb Blues frag that is not doing so well. But other than that I think I'm doing alright, I can already 5-10 new heads on my Keed Reds Zoas and some others Zoas.

good start you are going to run into problems if you don't get some flow in there. 2 korrilla 3s will be good . there about 40 a piece.

Missouri City Texas is two minutes away from Sugar Land Texas, and Sugar Land Texas is right outside Houston. There is about 15-20 minutes drive from Houston (southwest side) to Missouri City.
Hope that helps.

Anyways I have a Koralia 4 and Koralia 3 in the tank, but I feel the need to purchase another koralia 4 just to be sure.

Looking good very nice start and like others said just be patience. It take time to create a beatiful reef can't happen over night. Good luck
