My new Baby

I added a few more corals to the tank two days ago. I'm currently battling some type of algae in my tank. To be honest I don't think there is enough skimming going on (my skimmer is crappy) so until I solve that problem no more corals for a while :(

What do you think about those lights? do you like them? i was thinking about getting some 24" (130w) for my 20 gallon tank

And i likkkeee the orange polyps... are those aussie fire crackers? or dendros?

The lights are awesome, I do want to change the bulbs from a 10k to a 15 or maybe 20k. They are dendros. The frag to the right I just got today and they are looking good.
Picking up some nice acan frags tomorrow.

well in that case i might just pull the trigger on the 24 inchers.... if you do find upgraded bulbs, tell me where, i might wanna upgrade too ;)

Did you say you went with the Octopus NW 150 skimmer? I am trying to save up for a octopus NW 150 or 200 for my 90 haven't heard anything but good about them until you said yours is not working well.

Tank is looking good so far

actually thank you for reminding me....I'm talking about the Sea Clone 150. I have purchased the Octupus 150 and for some reason which I don't longer remember I return it.
Sorry for the confusing!

I needed to catch up on this thread because I hadnt seen it in awhile, and I noticed in the first pic of your tank didnt have an overflow, but the rest of them did. Did you install it yourself? Just curious

I went with the normal all white sand. Its going to hit the five month period in a few days and I just began to test for magnesium in my tank like few days ago and surprisingly mines is at 1300.

dkh was low so I added dkh buffer
Calcium was at 20 drops (can't remember the # just remember it was good)
PH 8.3
Natrite 0
Ammonia 0

I will do my best to post a FTS, but as you can see I'm having a hard time taking good quality pictures.

I also have a hitch hicker who I don't know if its good or bad. It is so small and great with camouflage that I can't manage to take a picture of it. It looks like a snail without its shell but again it is super duper tiny, you almost have to stick your face in the glass to see it.
