Baby aquarium, that is. I picked up the Innovative Marine Nuvo Nano 8 from Dave at AquaPros today. I'll keep everyone posted on my soon to start mini thread.

Thanks. I know I will. Fortunately I have a 75 gal that I can use to seed the new tank and hopefully avoid a long cycle. I'll keep ya posted.

goto ace hardware and purchase janitorial strength ammonia. It should be 10% ammonium hydroxide in water...use literally half a milliliter the first day and test ammonia in 30 minutes...you want it no higher than 5. Add more if needed. When it drops to zero add more until the ammonia is gone after 24 hours. Then keep dosing while checking nitrites. I cycled my 70 gallon in 8 days this method.
protip: don't smell the ammonia...now I know you will after I said this, but you will regret it

If your using already establish LR and tank water you should see little to no cycle at all... seed you sand bed if you plan on having one. With a tank that size your bacteria in your 75G will be enough to cycle that tank. Test for week add some food to make sure you don't have an ammonia spike then if it checks out OK then your in good shape. I did this a few time with a 10G nano and it worked out fine. but this is JMO...

Sounds good to me.
