It's my QT set up, 3 sponge filters, and a skimmer. I'm running hypo so no meds will be added to the tank, any reason why not to run a skimmer? I figure it will help with the large bio load?

I would recommend just doing water changes daily or every other day with ro/di water.

As far as velvet goes... from exp the only thing that really works is time and water changes, that and hopes that the fish is strong enough to survive. I had a puffer that caught it... started off around 6 to 8 inches.. by the time he started eating again it was 4 to 5 inches. (He wouldn't eat for 3 1/2 weeks) That's when I had a preditor tank.

The clowns dont eat nori, but the hippo and blenny do.
