My new "blue" C. Nox dwarf angel

What the DEVIL???! WOW. A Blue Nox. Hmm, Midnight blue? Man, I would've jumped on it too, had I seen it when I was re-stocking...
Are any more of those around?

Matthew

This is the first one that I have ever seen.

You do have the experience with carpets, but I'd never try it myself.
All you need is a visitor scaring your angel and it can dart into the carpet and poooof it gone.
Wish you luck with nox, awsome fish.

Thanks

What a beauty! I can't imagine an angel getting caught in an anemone, but I guess anything's possible.

Thank you. Yeah, anything is possible, but the biggest risk comes during the first release -- which has already happened. And fighting with a clown pair -- I only have a solo clown in that tank -- for that reason.

It was out and about more yesterday, and is getting better about eating. Seem to like to hang out in the cave opening. Will have to try to get some new pictures tonight.

For the heck of it, one of my other angels in a different tank,

Thought I would update this thread.

It is doing really well, out in the open more, though still likes it main cave, seems to eat anything I put in the tank, and is pretty mellow.

Some new pictures from the other night,

Really dark in this one,

Still a beautiful fish. A prized specimen I'm sure!

Matthew

Thanks a lot. I am now wishing that I had put it in the downstairs tank, so I could see it more often, it is really moving up the list -- of my favorite fish.

Very awesome coloration! You mind me asking how much it was on DD? I think I missed it. I get the emails every weekday evening.

That's a beautiful little angel Todd! Nice find. I just added my first angel to my tank. Is it normal for them to hide a lot when first introduced? It's been almost a week and it still tends to stay very close to the cave it has adopted, only coming out to eat. (cherub angel) I sure hope I get to see more of it soon!

Thanks a lot. I just looked at the receipt (( yes, I keep all the receipts from DD ;) )), and it was $79.99

Thank you. Yeah, it is fairly normal. Even when I keep mine in the acclimation container for 5-7 days, this one still stayed in the rock/cave for the first week or two -- now it is out and about.

Oddly enough my multi-colored angel (( in acclimation box for 7 days, but different tank )), has been out and about from the second I released it.

I wonder who got the blue nox this time... It sold very fast! ^^I agree with above a pair of these would be really sharp.

I did get home from PT in time to see it, and could have gotten it -- but I am holding true to my no more livestock purchases until my 40 breeder is set up.

Been a while, so I thought I would update this thread.

The little guy is doing great -- though does seem to have a taste for some green "button" polyps, though not too upset about that. Overall he is pretty darn mellow, never noticed it going after any other fish. Eats whatever I put in the tank.

How is it doing with the clams? I had looked at one of these and a golden dwarf, but I held up due to worrying about my clams.
