My new "blue" C. Nox dwarf angel

Got this little guy the other day from the DD section of LA. For as long as I can remember I have wanted a C. Nox, but never saw a healthy one. When I saw this one on Diver's Den I had to jump on it.

In its acclimation box -- was hard to get pictures while in the box, but these were the best I could do.

An idea of the box in relationship to the tank,

It was eating the food (( LifeLine's Herbivore mix, 3 different types of Rod's food, and Prime Reef )) while in the box. The plan was to leave it in there over the weekend. Well, I guess when I fed it last night I didn't close the lid all the way and it snuck out during the night. When I woke up this morning I noticed it wasn't in there and I saw it swimming in the rocks.

Was able to get 2 bad pictures of it in the tank -- still hiding a bit.

Great catch! I was wondering who got that fish... Very beautiful shade of blue as well. Congrats!
I wonder how many end up that color? As I have never seen a C. nox that color before!

Funny, I kept debating about it, and told myself that if it was still available after 10 PM, that I would have to get it.

Like you wouldn't believe, think the darn fish pushed the lid open. From everything I have read, they top out at 4"

Thanks. Interesting, and I don't see any coral beauty in mine (( glad I didn't put in the tank that has one )).

So far so good, some very minor chasing from my flame angel, otherwise all is going good. It is staying near one area, picking at the rocks.

Been keeping S. Haddonis for 12+ years now, in all that time I have lost a total of 4 fish; two of them were a yellow watchman goby, and a Mandarin -- 2 fish that do not mix with S. Haddonis. There is a slight risk, but if you take steps to avoid issues, the risk is greatly reduced.

It might just be another varient or hybrid... Only checking the DNA will know... Anyway, as long as it is nice.. :lolspin:
They should be easy to feed...

What the DEVIL???! WOW. A Blue Nox. Hmm, Midnight blue? Man, I would've jumped on it too, had I seen it when I was re-stocking...

You do have the experience with carpets, but I'd never try it myself.
All you need is a visitor scaring your angel and it can dart into the carpet and poooof it gone.
