here is my new clam, it's okay, I hope it looks really nice when it is bigger!

we got it from Reefscience!

disregard the brown algae problem!!(any tips? I'm not overfeeding)...

and here is a side pic of the shell, it appears a piece of ricordia is on it or something?
does he look healthy???thanks!

It looks like a healthy Deresa to me. In regards to the algea problem I would ask you what type of water you are using for water changes?
 
That was my first guess. Some water source other than R/O is many times the culperate. How old are your bulbs? I've heard of people having algae break outs with old bulbs.

Get a small fighting conch (harmless) and the algea will be gone
 
Try a sand sifting cucumber if you do not have anything that will disturb it. It will "mop" up the sand pretty good.

It looks like a tulip anemone, mojo anemone or some other type of pest. I would get it out of there.
 
I believe it to be a mojano as well, I would definitely get rid of it.

Beautiful clam by the way!

My cucumbers sucked at getting rid or even moving the dreaded brown funk. I am still looking for fighting conchs, and I believe you should try to get at least one to see if it works for you.
