Its in my nano, which has 96 watts . It is about 5 inches from water level. Its about 4-5 inches in length I think, probably closer to 4inches. Depending on what angle you look at it, it turns blue.
Nice specimen, Edwin. Derasa are probably the hardiest of all the giant clams. You'll want to relocate it to your main display after your move is all said and done.
Derasa is the 2nd largest Tridacna and the 3rd fastest grower. You'll want to stay on top of your calcium and alkalinity levels, which would be depleted quickly in a nano
thanks karl, I will check that out tonight. I dont know how long I will be out of a tank as I am selling my main. But I will keep incheck with the alk and calc.
