Super excited just picked up my new pair of clowns from FedEx. Was supposed to receive them yesterday, but there was a mix up so I had to pick them up this morning. :uhoh3: Worst sleep I've had in a long time. Anyways, I picked them up and they were perfectly healthy, and here they are in their new home.

Thanks guys! Tried a feeding but all they want to do right now is dig down in the sand and sleep? I heard clowns sleep so I don't think its too big a deal. They are breathing fine, so im just going to leave the lights off today and let them recover, feeding will have to start tomorrow.

Elegance, I ordered them from worldwidecorals. Not sure who their provider is or if they bred them themselves, but im sending an email to find out.

Actually I lied about the food. The clown with the tear marking ate a couple hikari pellets, but they both ignored the mysis.

Would those be considered snowflake perculas? They look awesome. They will look even better as they grow older.

Like the markings but your fish do not look healthy. Try keeping them in a small floating box inside the main display tank and feed them heavy. Good luck with them and keep us updated.

Yeah I have to agree and I hope were both very wrong but something looks a little off with them. Keep a close eye on them.

I agree. They look extremely thin and I'm hoping it is shipping weight they lost. They accepted a larger feeding of pellets just before lights out. They each ate around 15-20 Hikari Marine S pellets. Right now they are content with nesting in the front corner of the tank, digging out a lot of sand. Tomorrow I will start feeding Vitamin C enriched mysis and spirulina brine shrimp.

Also, what in particular am I looking for in the clowns' behavior?

You want them to act like clowns. Lol. That where they got the name. Swim around acting crazy. I would have q tanked them if I were you. They do look a little ruff.

I would have, but I don't have one set up. Might buy a new heater tomorrow and use an old nano-cube I have to do just that.

Maybe the breeder used Liquid Paper ?? LOL

Would explain a lot. haha. They've been acting normal as far as I can see so far, swimming like mad all over the tank. Lights are out now though and they are snuggled up in the corner. I've turned down the flow on the vortech so they don't have to fight so much current in the tank so I can fatten them up quicker. Summer should give me the time to feed them 4 or 5 times a day.
