My new coral

Bought this the other day, got it cheap because of the damage, is it a Montastrea?

I'm not terribly good at IDing yet but it looks like some type of chalice to me.

See I was think more montastraea cavernosa doesnt look like a favia to me and the coralites are to raised to be a chalice imo.

it looks more like a favia to me too i have seen favias puffed up like that before. but could be chalice. either way there requirements are the same let it get nce and healthy and start growing then try to get an id
